State of Happiness
STATE OF HAPPINESS (Lykkeland) tells the story about how Norway became a oil producing country, about a town and four young people thrown into a whirlpool of opportunities.
We are situated in Stavanger the summer of 1969. International oil companies are about to pull out. No ones believes there is oil on the Norwegian continental shelf. Fish has been the source of income for generations, but the resources in the North sea are becoming scarce.
The night before christmas 1969 Philips petroleum makes history by hitting on a giant oil well, and everything changes from then on..
